Walter Techtmann is a 5th year Architectural Engineering student at The Pennsylvania State University. In May 2018, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, with a focus in Construction Management. While attending Penn State, he has been involved in several student organizations. He is currently a member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) and Student Chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE).

For the past two summers Walter has gained knowledge and experience working as a project engineer intern for The Norwood Company. During these two summers, he worked on a healthcare project near Harrisburg, Pa. While working on this project he learned to review submittals, compose RFIs, and manage the punchlist and closeout items.

Outside of his academic and professional career, Walter enjoys snowboarding, surfing, and playing lacrosse. He also values spending time with family and friends. Last year he was able to participate in an incredible experience, and dance for 46 hours straight in THON 2017 for his fraternity Theta Delta Chi. Walter also was nominated to be the homecoming chair 3 years in straight, where he built the fraternities homecoming float.
